Welcome to my alternative tours company!

I was born and brought up in Rio. I've lived here all my life. No one knows this wonderful city better.

Let me show you round. I can take you to all the usual tourist sights - Corcovado, the Sugar Loaf, Ipanema and of course carnival.

But I can also take you to the best spots for live music - from Lapa to Laranjeiras. Whether you want traditional samba and choro or a more alternative, funk, baile funk and hip hop scene.

I can take you to restaurants and bars where only the people of Rio - the Cariocas go.

And I can take you to social projects where tourism is making a real difference to people's lives in the poorer communities of Rio de Janeiro - artisans making the costumes for carnival in the Cidade do Samba, a drum orchestra run by one of Brazil's most famous percussionists, a circus with amazing acrobats (in season), a little factory where women from the favelas make souvenirs from recycled materials. Many more.

And I can fix you up with a place to stay with in a Carioca home on the beach in Ipanema or in arty Santa Teresa.
